I recently had Debbie from Workshops for Kids do one of her fabulous Girl Scout workshops with my girls. Debbie has a variety of different workshops to do with Girl Scouts of every level, from Daisies to Seniors. She brings all of the materials with her and sets everything up for you. Your co-leader and you get to simply manage your girls and enjoy the presentation.
Since cupcakes are a hot item now, we did Debbie’s “Ace of Cupcakes” workshop. Debbie set everything up and were my girls excited! They gathered around the table as Debbie talked about how she started cake decorating, and she talked about all of the careers you can in the field of cooking and baking.
She then handed out to the girls templates for practicing different decorating techniques. Once the girls mastered those, they got their own cupcakes to decorate, and of course eat!
Debbie took care of the clean-up and we finished on time. I am looking forward to having my girls do another workshop with Debbie in the future. Her rates are reasonable and I can honestly say my troop had a blast.
