Choosing a kindergarten is a big decision, and seeing the learning environment can really help. All our Kids First kindergartens now offer virtual tours - available at the top of every kinder page, so you can take a look inside and explore our spaces from home.
When you’re ready, we’d love to welcome you for an in-person visit too - our team is here to help you find the right fit for your child.
Free Kinder in 2026
All Kids First kinders are participating in free three- and four-year-old kinder in 2026, so your child can attend at no cost.
Please note: your child can only access a funded kindergarten program and Free Kinder at one service. If your child is enrolled at more than one service, you may be required to repay the funding and could lose their place.
Free Kinder means more Victorian children can have the best start in life, no matter where they live:
- Three-year-olds: from 5 up to 15 hours per week of a kindergarten program
- Four-year-olds: 15 hours per week (600 hours a year)
Free Kinder means a saving of up to $2,600 per child, each year. (Source: Victorian Government 2025)
Meet our Early Years Management team
Pre-Prep
Pre-Prep is a Victorian Government initiative offering eligible four-year-olds more funded kinder hours — from 16 up to 30 hours per week — at no cost to families. Pre-Prep is available at selected Kids First kinders in 2026.

In a partnership commencing in 2021 with Murdoch Children's Research Institute, we will evaluate its the effectiveness of the Early Years Education Program™ - Kindergarten Model.

The Kinder Tick
All of our Early Years kinders use the Kinder Tick as we are an approved provider of a Victorian Government funded kindergarten program. That means your child is taking part in an evidence-informed, play-based learning program that meets government guidelines. Research shows the pre-school years are critical when it comes to supporting learning and development — and that the right support at these ages can help benefit children into their school years and beyond.

Educator training — School Readiness Funding, Preschool Boost and Flexible Support Packages
As well as running our own early childhood centres, Kids First Australia delivers accredited trauma-informed training and support for educators across Victoria and South Australia. Whether your service is accessing School Readiness Funding (VIC), Preschool Boost (SA), or Flexible Support Packages, we offer bespoke programs tailored to the needs of your staff, children and families — delivered in-person or online.
